About the Itasca County Resort & Tourism Association

The Itasca County Resort and Tourism Association (ICRTA) is a non-profit organization with a mission of improving the tourism-based economy of Itasca County.  Since 1988, ICRTA member businesses have combined their resources and expertise to better market the County's amenities and to further educate themselves in the area of hospitality management.

The members of ICRTA are pleased to bring you this website.  We hope it will provide the information you need to make a Northwoods vacation in Itasca County an annual tradition for you and your family.

Become A Member of the Itasca County Resort & Tourism Association (ICRTA)

If you are a business owner in Itasca County and are interested in becoming a member of the ICRTA, here is some pertinent information.  We currently have 164 members.  Membership dues are $40 for the 2002-2003 year which runs from Sept. 1, 2002 thru Aug. 31, 2003.  

Membership benefits include the monthly newsletter THE JOURNAL, a free listing on our website* www.northwoodsminnesota.com, reduced prices for additional heading listings and/or a link to your own website, a free listing and reduced advertising rates on the Itasca County Map, and voting rights at all membership meetings.  

The association meets six times a year:  February, April, May (Spring Kickoff meeting), September (end of season picnic/potluck), October (Annual Meeting) and December (Christmas party).  To become a member email Kim Jamtgaard, ICRTA's Secretary, at kim@icrta.com, or call her at 218-328-5858.

*Website links on this site are available to ICRTA members for an annual fee of $60.  Additional listings under separate heading categories are also available for an annual fee of $15 per additional listing (the first one is free with membership). The ICRTA now offers members the opportunity to take part in the SPECIALS Program.  The SPECIALS program is designed to give participants a way to post timely information about promotions or events on northwoodsminnesota.com. The $60 annual fee is in addition to the purchase of a website link. Each participating business is provided with password access to a web page that allows them to input a special offer either daily, or within a date-range. Offers automatically expire based on the termination date selected.
